Foreword

For the third we are meeting in Zermatt. It is continuation of the idea which several years ago started in Polish Tatra mountains and then four years ago moved to Alps. At the beginning it was organized under the auspices of Polish Society of Perinatal Medicine. Now it is the European Association of Perinatal Medicine which plays the role of patron.
The main ideas of these schools, close collaboration of neonatologists and obstetricians, gave the opportunity to look at the problem of mother, fetus and newborn as an integral problem. Such approach decided also about the main subject of this school, growth abnormalities.
For the first time during the European School we are authorized to offer the credit points for the participants. We hope that it will be continued in the future.
We wish all participants sunny and snowy stay in Zermatt combined with science and pleasure.
